Has his training for Prosthetic Eye and Prosthetic Contact Lenses from Gandhi Eye Hospital Aligarh (Probably India’s first institute for Prosthetic eyes). Has also been trained by very highly experienced ocularist of Aligarh at Verma Eye Hospital Aligarh. His clinical interests include ocular prosthesis, particularly in paediatric patients. Suvidha Eye Services was founded in 2010 by Ravikant Sharma. He is a life time member of Indian Optometric Association. Having deep understanding of designing and fabricating artificial eyes, Create a caring, sensitive and relaxed environment which puts our patients at ease. Phthisis bulbi: is a shrunken, non-functional eye due to severe eye disease, inflammation, injury
Microphthalmos/Anophthalmos are conditions that occur in children. The first condition is where the eye does not completely form. The second condition is where the eye, or eyes, are missing. It is important that these children receive prosthetic rehabilitation at the earliest stage possible.
Evisceration – removal of the iris, cornea, and internal eye contents, but with the sclera and attached extra ocular muscles left behind.
Enucleation – removal of the eyeball, but with the eyelids and adjacent structures of the eye socket remaining.
Exenteration – removal of the contents of the eye socket, including the eyeball, fat, muscles, and other adjacent structures of the eye. The eyelids may also be removed in cases of cutaneous cancers and unrelenting infection.
