The Haryana Pollution Control Board, a department of the state government of Haryana, oversees and puts various environmental laws into effect in order to safeguard the health and safety of the state's citizens. In compliance with the Water Prevention and Control of Pollution Act, the Haryana State Government established the Haryana State Pollution Control Board. Water conservation was a consideration when it was built. It now controls how Haryana's environmental rules are put into practise.
