Business Description
There has always been a healthy competition between the metro cities of India, for the coveted title of the best city to live in. While each of these cities provides unique opportunities and are cheered on by the large number of people who call these cities their home, the recent Ease of Living Index provides an answer to this long-standing debate. Mumbai, Delhi, Pune or Bangalore which is the best city to live in India? And the official answer is *drum rolls*- Pune.
The Ease of Living Index of 2018 released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs ranked Maharashtra’s Pune as the easiest city to live in. Greater Mumbai and Navi Mumbai were ranked close second and third, respectively. This is a great achievement for the state of Maharashtra with three cities capturing the top three positions for the best cities to live in India.
This is the first edition of the survey, inaugurated earlier this year by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The ministry commissioned 111 major cities, including all urban clusters to be developed into smart cities. They ranked these cities on the basis of their institutions, governance, social infrastructure (which includes education and health), economic factors and physical infrastructure. Under consideration across all these points, Pune emerged victorious.
The continuous development of real estate properties in Pune plays a fundamental role in making life easier and comfortable for Puneites. Over the years, Pune evolved from being the cultural capital of Maharashtra to a smart city with numerous IT companies setting up operations here. A growing population of people from across the country are attracted to Pune's multifaceted appeal; as it provides job opportunities, a balanced urban & social lifestyle with an ever pleasing green and peaceful environment. As Pune becomes more cosmopolitan, the demand for luxurious residential and commercial properties are also sky-rocketing.
In recent times, we are seeing an emergence of designer residential projects in the city and an increasing number of landmark developments that are adding to the landscape of the city. Our own projects have been instrumental in putting the city of Pune on the world map with associations with brands like YOO, Trump, Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott and many others. Pune is becoming another western hub for the best in class residential and commercial properties on this side of the country. Apart from all the development, the city has always been known as the ‘Oxford of the East’, owning this title to all the renowned educational institutions and ever-growing expat student population. With such varied characteristics and strong potential growth, it is no doubt that Pune has been officially crowned the ‘Easiest City to Live In.’
