Mishcat Co aims at changing the way people perceive sustainable luxury in the global design world, by up cycling leftover sari scraps into one-of-a-kind carpets; and using each as a starting point to a new, beautifully curated space.
Working in rural areas across Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, Mishcat Co supports a network of independent artisans and weavers who due to limitations, have not been able to move to bigger cities and work in large scale production houses.
As is the case with any canvas, the beauty of our carpets is that they can vary from artisan to artisan, and yarn to yarn. Each of our carpets celebrate their inconsistencies which cannot be replicated by a machine or for that matter, even by hand- truly making each one unique.
