From HoD’s desk… I’ve been associated with the Landscape Design Department at JRVGTI for sixteen of the last twenty years since its inception. I have seen the department progress exponentially over the years and grown along with it. Our alumni are active professionals in landscape design and also used their knowledge to excel in other related fields. Our course is unique in terms of its syllabus, structure, and approach. This is complemented by our capable faculty, focused on helping students reach their highest potential.
Landscape design as a field has been rapidly gaining widespread appeal amongst commercial, institutional and residential users. It is a profession that mixes both the arts and the sciences, along with promoting biodiversity, sustainability and a much-needed understanding of an eco-friendly lifestyle. As landscape designers, we contribute to the quality of human life in terms of enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of our surroundings.
