The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT Exam) is conducted by the Indian Air Force. To elect the officers of Class-I declaration in-flight and groundworks (technical and non-technical), the examinations are held twice in February and August / September respectively.
AFCAT is a gateway for both male and female candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force for both Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission / Short Service Commission in Flying Branch. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the Air Force Electoral Agency (AFSB) online exam and interview.
