This alloy is designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures in the range of 2000 deg F(1093 deg C). Inconel 600 has exceptional mechanical properties and offers a blend of high strength and efficient weldability under various temperatures. The high levels of nickel in Inconel 600 retain significant resistance under reducing conditions. That makes it resistant to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking as well as alkaline solutions.
