The ‘i-am’ team were really excited to be celebrating with one of our favourite clients, Domus last night. We worked with Domus on their first showroom in Clerkenwell and are looking forward to starting work on their new site on Eastcastle Street in the very near future. Due to the huge success of the Clerkenwell site, the guys and gals at Domus decided to throw a Pre-Construction party at Eastcastle to celebrate their new site and make sure that everyone knew about the upcoming development of the coolest showroom in London(!). ‘i-am’s Managing Director Jon Blakeney gave a talk about ‘i-am’s 12 year long relationship with Domus and how the design of Domus, Clerkenwell was developed and brought to life. Head of ‘i-am’s 3D design department, Tanya Fairhurst helped create visual elements to wow the guests at last night’s event, including mood boards for the new design and huge projections of animations of our sketches. On working with Domus, Tanya said ‘Domus projects are a fine example of the amazing things that can happen when the client, the architect and us as concept designers lock into the same vision. It certainly happened with Clerkenwell and we are on the same path with Eastcastle Street’. The event was a huge success with hundred of designers, architects and lovers of Domus’ work in attendance.
