Guillotine dampers are essential components for controlling airflow in certain baghouse designs, specifically at the inlets, outlets, and bypasses. Flexatherm offers these Guillotine dampers either fully assembled or in sections, depending on your needs. Some baghouse manufacturers may only require specific parts of the Guillotine assembly. In such cases, Flexatherm can provide the Guillotine discs, seat, cylinder stand, shafts, and operator for easy integration into the manufacturer’s existing ductwork.

Our Guillotine dampers are engineered with several advanced features that set them apart from competitors. For example, we include a seat ring with either a blanchard ground or a precisely machined sealing surface. Additionally, our Guillotine disc is designed to accommodate slight misalignment before achieving a final seal, ensuring a more effective and secure closure.

The standard shafts in our Guillotine dampers are constructed from 316 stainless steel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance. We also produce specialized Guillotine designs suitable for bypass applications. These designs feature two discs mounted on the same shaft, allowing for the use of a purge or vacuum to achieve a zero-leakage condition.

Flexatherm also offers a proprietary Guillotine damper specifically designed for thermal oxidizers used in the destruction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Every Guillotine damper we manufacture includes a lockout mechanism that secures the damper in both open and closed positions. This safety feature helps protect personnel during maintenance activities on the baghouse or thermal oxidizer.
