PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Saravanan received his medical degree from Coimbatore Medical College, India. He underwent general and vascular surgical training in Ireland from 1988 to 1994. During this period, he held different positions such as SHO, Registrar and Senior Registrar in Our Lady’s Hospital - Navan, Regional General Hospital - Limerick, Our Lady’s Hospital - Cashel, Waterford Regional Hospital, Cavan General Hospital and LetterKenny General Hospital. In 1994, he became the fellow of Royal college of Surgeons, UK (by examination). He further specialized in peripheral vascular and organ transplantation surgery at Senior Registrar level in United Kingdom at Coleraine Hospital, United Hospitals of Antrim, Craigavon Area Hospitals and finally worked in NHS Ayrshire and Arran Hospitals, Scotland before returning to India after 13 years of experience.

Dr. Saravanan maintains an active practice in all aspects of Vascular surgery and Kidney Transplantation. In addition to his interest with open surgical reconstruction of complex aortic disease and Carotid disease, he has successfully performed minimally invasive endovascular procedures for occlusive disease of the carotid, renal, aortic, mesenteric, lower extremity arteries, radiofrequency ablation of varicose veins and endovascular management for Deep Vein Thrombosis.

Dr. Saravanan, has performed more than 700 Kidney transplantation surgeries with 5-year graft survival rate of more than 95%. His surgical expertise includes vascular access for hemodialysis, multiple artery Kidney Transplant and Redo Transplants.
