He then completed his super-specialty training as DNB (GI Surgery) from Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. He has had further training in Colorectal surgery in the UK, where he was working for 5 years. His UK experience includes fellowships in minimally invasive colorectal surgery (Laparoscopic and Robotic), Surgery for Colorectal cancer, Peritoneal Cytoreductive Surgery, and HIPEC. He was a fellow at the Basingstoke Peritoneal Malignancy Institute, which is a world-renowned centre for Colorectal and peritoneal cancer surgery. He has also worked as a locum General/Colorectal surgical Consultant at University Hospitals Coventry, UK. He was awarded the Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018.
