The most important marketing tool for the purpose of building a long-term business is brand advocacy. A brand advocate is usually someone who publicly supports or tells others of your brand, products, or services. Such advocates become credible when they actually help people use your brand in a way that helps their business. Sometimes this is done by providing information to readers, such as free product samples. Other times, advocacy is done through social media, blogs, and other forms of online content. All of these things can be helpful, but they are not enough on their own.
