BIFF is a chain of International Film Festivals,being organised in different cities of India and abroad under one brand name-Banjara Cinema. We travel and host the festival event in various cities with screening of shortlisted films along with award functions which are clubbed with other activities like film workshops, literature seminars etc.We intend to be global soon and will be organising the festival in different countries.Our team of energetic & enthusiastic professionals is headed by Capt. Sachin Khanna,who is the Founder & Managing Director of the company.
Setting up our identity unique and completely different,we are passionate about our idea of touring and hosting festival at various places.This enhances the reach, popularity and visibility of submitted films and thus of filmmakers to many cities and mass,providing a much more exposure to their talent and creativity. This truly fulfils our objective of providing talented filmmakers a wider attention and space to showcase their art and innovative ideas to the global audience.Audience in different cities also have a repository of fine movies of different taste & calibers from across the globe, to enjoy through our touring festival .
The festival was founded in 2014 as Navi Mumbai International Film Festival-NMIFF which was the first ever film festival of the city,Navi Mumbai.Showcasing highest quality of content, balanced jury panel and the best in class event organising,NMIFF rose to become one of the top most film festival of the country and we are proud to state our growth & trust film makers have shown on us since its inception.In our very first edition in 2014,there was participation from 35 countries with 300 film entries, in 2nd edition in 2015,there were 410 film entries from 75 countries and in the 3rd festival,we received 503 film submissions from 48 countries.In its 4th successful running year,we have rebranded NMIFF as BANJARA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL-BIFF,a touring film festival, so that we can visit various places of the world with the event and generate much more visibility to film makers and our event partners through all possible means of reach,promotions & publicity to provide them best commercial benefits through our brand.
The festival is open to all film makers,short & feature length films of various types from across the globe, and appreciates all genres of film making.This is a competitive festival of films where the best films are shortlisted under various categories. The winners are selected by the festival committee and awarded with prizes and trophies.
